Our Story

From the very beginning, Shalee knew she was locked in sooner than he was. While Marshall's intentions to date or be dating were no more or less intentional than hers, he knew that she was golden and that he had to be clear and precise. Her presence elevated everything for him. It wasn’t just about finding someone; it became an effort to discover sincere and genuine love. But let’s be absolutely clear: God has been, and will always be, at the forefront of their union.

Their journey together has been a beautiful collage of faith, belief, courage, commitment, self-discipline, discovery, and openness. They didn’t just accept love as it’s often defined; They had to define it for themselves. Love wasn’t something to take at face value but to shape and craft to fit their narrative. They had to ask each other what love felt like, what it looked like, what it smelled like, and most importantly, what it meant to them.

In building their relationship, they had to find their own hue around love—something uniquely theirs. Part of that was understanding how to weave their children into their story, making them part of the love they've built. It’s been a process where they had to be the plumbers, the electricians, the architects, and the designers. They have paved this road together, but always under God’s direction. His leadership has been key in guiding them through.

Through it all, they have come to understand that celebrating each other’s differences is essential. It’s these differences that have allowed them to truly understand one another and build something beautiful. There are a lot of things in common as well that has helped create the glue to this beautiful union. The commonalities of their journey to love has become one of the many reasons they have built such a strong bond. They understand that their meeting of the hearts was orchestrated by GOD. Together, Marshall & Shalee are creating a love story that is authentic, purposeful, and entirely their own.
